Bella is built for BOTH sides — brides AND vendors get full accounts that talk to each other. When you change your timeline, guest count, or budget, every booked vendor is notified automatically. No more sending the same email to 8 vendors. The Knot is a directory; Bella is a real-time planning hub.
How does the "one update, everyone knows" feature actually work?
When you update anything (timeline, budget, guest count, song requests, shot lists, etc.), every collaborating vendor with permission to see that data gets an instant in-app notification PLUS an email if they're logged out. Your photographer, DJ, caterer, planner — all in sync without you lifting a finger.
What AI features do you actually have? Is it just a buzzword?
No buzzwords. Can I really upload a vendor contract and get it analyzed?
Yes. Drop a PDF of any vendor contract in /contracts and the AI pulls out the vendor name, service dates, deposit + balance due dates, included services, cancellation terms, and flags red flags (vague clauses, missing details, etc.). It is NOT legal advice — but it catches things brides miss when reading their 14th contract.
What if my vendor isn't on Bella yet?
No problem. You can invite ANY vendor by email — they get a magic link to claim a free Bella account for your wedding. We have 5,000+ vendors in the directory already, and your invited vendors get 30 days of Premium features free when they accept your invite.
Can I pay my vendors through Bella?
Yes (optional). Vendors who accept your booking through the marketplace get paid through Stripe Connect — you pay a deposit at booking, the balance auto-charges 30 days before your event. Bella never holds your money — Stripe routes it directly to the vendor. You also get protection: deposits are non-refundable to the vendor only after they accept, and the balance is held until the day of your event.
How does Bella protect me from a vendor cancelling last-minute?
Three layers. (1) Every marketplace booking includes a written contract you both sign. (2) Vendor deposits collected through Bella are forfeit to YOU if the vendor cancels — they don't get to keep the retainer. (3) Bella's admin can step in to mediate disputes and issue refunds when warranted.
Can my mom / planner / fiancé use this with me?
Free: no editors (just you + your partner), up to 3 vendor collaborators + 3 read-only viewers. Standard: 3 editors + unlimited collaborators & viewers. Premium: unlimited. Each collaborator gets their own login + a permission level you control (viewer / editor / admin) so your mother-in-law can SEE the guest list without changing it.
Does my wedding planner have to use Bella too?
If they want to. Many planners already use Bella because it auto-syncs their changes across all the vendors. If your planner doesn't use Bella, you can still invite them as a collaborator (free) and they can use Bella alongside their existing tools.
Can I build a wedding website with Bella?
Yes — 23 designer templates plus a full drag-and-drop builder. Custom domain support is on its way. Includes RSVP collection, photo gallery, registry links, travel info, password protection, and a guest AI chatbot that answers questions like 'what time is the ceremony?' or 'is there parking?'
Do I get help with invitations, save-the-dates, signs, etc.?

You can also use Bella for engagement parties, bridal showers, vow renewals, and elopements.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You keep it. You can export everything (guests, budget, timeline, vendor contacts, photos) as CSV or PDF at any time. After cancellation, your data stays accessible for 90 days before deletion.
Is my data private? Do you sell it?
Never. We don't sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or allow ad trackers. Vendor emails in our directory are hidden from public view — all bride↔vendor messaging goes through Bella's platform so your contacts stay private. Industry-standard encryption + row-level security on every table.
Can I change plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Is there a setup fee or cancellation fee?
No! There are no setup fees, cancellation fees, or hidden charges. Only the monthly subscription. Yearly plans get 2 months free.
Can I archive my wedding after the big day?
Absolutely! All plans include 3 months of access after your wedding date. We recommend exporting your data before then so you have a permanent copy of your guest list, timeline, and budget.
I'm pretty far into planning already — is Bella still useful?
Yes. Brides who join Bella mid-planning typically import their existing guest list (CSV upload), enter their booked vendors as collaborators, and immediately benefit from the auto-notify flow. Even just using the timeline + checklist tools saves hours compared to managing things in spreadsheets.
